– “What is your North Star and why?“ / “What is a topic you can give a presentation on that’s not related to your job?” / “What is your ideal day?”

– Outside of questions being some type of stimuli, I could not share more without risk of being wrong.

– Use questions as a form of care and means to understand.

I particularly like that "What is a topic you can give a presentation on that’s not related to your job?” question. I feel like the opportunity to get people to share about a part of themselves that isn't related to their work gives a chance for you and them to meet a different side of that person. I love it.

I'm curious, could you explain a bit more what you mean when you say "Use questions as a form of care and means to understand"?

Right? Great icebreaker!

Sometimes, people use questions sarcastically or to give negative feedback indirectly. It's better to use a constructive mindset with questions, in my opinion.

Ahhh yes. Like when people ask questions, but they already have an answer in mind and they want to know if you will get it wrong so that they can correct or criticize instead of asking to genuinely understand and learn more--is that what you mean?
